What is an entry?
An entry consists of one image or a series of images. See “Contest Details”, each contest differs.
What is the fee to enter?
“All-Entrants” – Single Image: $15.00 USD / Series (2 to 5 images) *: $30.00 USD
– Grand Prize is a Vacation Getaway for (2) two to the Caribbean
“Youth” – Free Entry (1- 5 images)
– Grand Prize: $500 USD
“College Students” – Free Entry (1- 5 images)
– Grand Prize: $1000 USD
“Professional” – Single Image: $25.00 USD / Series (2 to 10 images) *: $40.00 USD

Is there a limit to the number of photos that I can enter?
Yes, there is a limit per entry. See contest details for info specific to each contest. Each contest differs. However, you may enter as many times as you desire.
When does the contest begin?
All contests run at various periods and at multiple times throughout the calendar year. We recommend signing up for our Newsletter through the CPC website to stay notified. pm) US Eastern Standard Time (EST) (the “Contest”).
What format should I save my digital images in?
Digital submissions must be no larger than 1000 Pixels in either height or width and saved as Jpegs (.jpg), in RGB format and not exceed 4MB per file, at 150 dpi. Images will be viewed on a large monitor and should be in the Adobe RGB or sRGB color space. Filenames should contain contestants name and ranking number for the respective number of images entered. (Ex. File 001 – John Doe #1, File 002 – John Doe #2)
Can I enter if I live outside of the U.S.?
Yes, except where prohibited by law, international entries can be submitted.
Do the same rules apply for the different contests?
No! Different rules apply to each category. Make sure you read the rules carefully.
What's the difference between the contests?
The All-Entrants contest is for visual artists and photo enthusiasts of any skill level over 18 years of age.
The “Youth” contest is for visual artists and photo enthusiasts of any skill level who must be at least 13 years of age at the date the contest begins, but no older than 17 years of age by the date the contest ends.
The “College Students” contest is only for students 18-30 years old enrolled at an accredited college or university with an interest in, but not limited to the Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, Journalism, Photography, or the Visual and Graphic Arts. The “College Students” contest is specifically for students who desire enhancing their prospects of building strong careers in the Creative and Visual Arts industries.
The “Professional” contest is only for professionally skilled photographers and visual artists over 21 years of age. The prizes for all contests must be redeemed within specified time periods or prizes will be forfeited.
The Caribbean Photo Contest is primarily a skill-based competition and chance plays no part in the determination of winners. (Special qualifications apply, see contest rules.)
Will there be a prize winner for each contest?
Yes, there will be a Grand prize winner in each contest.

What are my chances of winning?
That depends upon the number of submissions. Typically we get thousands of entries each year.
All contests are skill-based contests and chance plays no part in the determination of winners.
Will my images be sold?
No. You retain copyright to your photograph and the Sponsors may not sell your photo entry for a fee. Select entries may be posted online so that viewers may view all competing entries. And winning entries may be used in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest for a period of 36 months from the date winners are notified.
Will my photos be returned?
All submissions are to be completed online through the Caribbean Photo Contest website.
When will the winners be announced?
Winners and finalists are announced (6) six weeks after the end of each contest. See contest details. Winners and finalists are contacted during dates specified in the respective contest rules, and the winning entries will be published on the Caribbean Photo Contest website and CPC newsletter. Please do not call or email us about the status of your entries.
