The Caribbean Photo Contest runs various periods during the calendar year. The Caribbean Photo Contest offers meaningful prizes. This year’s contest is “Open Themed”. The “All-Entrants”, “Teen”, “College Students”, and “Professional” contests will only accept digital photographic entries from any digital device, including smartphones and tablets.

Open Theme is defined as conveyed in the contest rules with the following restrictions. (“Restrictions”: Obscenities, pornography, nudity, vulgarity, cliches, etc. or otherwise objectionable are NOT permitted.)

The Caribbean Photo Contest is primarily a skill-based competition and chance plays no part in the determination of winners. (Special qualifications apply, see contest rules.)
Eligibility
The “All-Entrants” contest is for visual artists and photo enthusiasts of any skill level over 18 years of age.
The “Teen” contest is for visual artists and photo enthusiasts of any skill level who must be at least 13 years of age at the date contest begins, but no older than 17 years of age by the date the contest ends.
The “College Students” contest is only for students 18-30 years old enrolled at an accredited college or university with an interest in, but not limited to the Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, Journalism, Photography, or the Visual and Graphic Arts. The “College Students” contest is specifically for students who desire enhancing their prospects of building strong careers in the Creative and Visual Arts industries.
The “Professional” contest is only for professionally skilled photographers and visual artists over 21 years of age. The prizes for all contests must be redeemed within specified time periods or prizes will be forfeited.

The “All Entrants” contest begins April 20, 2025, at (12:01:00 AM) US Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends May 24, 2025 at 11:59:00 pm US Eastern Standard Time (EST) (the “contest”).
“Teen”
The “Teen” contest begins April 20, 2025, at (12:01:00 AM) US Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends May 24, 2025 at 11:59:00 pm US Eastern Standard Time (EST) (the “contest”).
College Students
The “College Students “contest begins April 20, 2025, at (12:01:00 AM) US Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends May 24, 2025 at 11:59:00 pm US Eastern Standard Time (EST) (the “contest”).
Professional
The “Professional” contest begins April 20, 2025, at (12:01:00 AM) US Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends May 24, 2025 at 11:59:00 pm US Eastern Standard Time (EST) (the “contest”).
*Submission entries must be received before the entry period ends to participate in contest.
**Note: The contest is expected to receive many visitors immediately before the entry deadline. If the website is experiencing a lot of traffic, issues may arise such as slow processing times or the inability to submit entries. To avoid these potential problems, you are encouraged to submit your entries about 10 days before the entry deadlines.
Submission Guidelines
Submission entry is limited to original works that have not previously been displayed or exhibited and to which the entrant holds all applicable rights.
Still photography
Image data files created with any digital devices including smartphones, digital still cameras (including medium and large-format cameras). We will not be accepting any hard copy submission entries. Digital scans of photographs taken by film cameras are eligible.
File size: Up to 4 MB per file
File format: JPEG/150 dpi recommended
The standard color space for the judging process is sRGB.
Note: Finalists & Prize Winners may be requested to provide higher resolution images for publication or display purposes related to the contest.
How to Enter
After carefully reading all applicable information, click the “Enter to Win” icon to complete the entry form, pay the entry fee (if applicable), upload your work, and submit.
- Entries for all contests, except for the Professional contest, are limited to a total of five (5) images per submission. However, contestants may enter the contest multiple times without restriction.
- Teen and College Student contests offer one (1) free entry per participant.
- Teen contestants who wish to submit additional entries (2-5 images total) must pay a $15 entry fee.
- A fee is required for each submission entry for the All Entrants, College-Students and Professional contests.
- The Professional contest allows up to ten (10) images per submission. There is no limit to the number of submissions a contestant can enter. A fee is required for each entry.

All-Entrants
A panel of Caribbean Photo Contest panel of Judges in photography (the “Judges”) will each review all eligible entries based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”): (1) Creativity 50%; (2) Photographic quality 50% and select a group of entries from contestants that become finalists. Finalist entries will be judged based on creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness in expressing the contest theme. The Grand Prize Winner, Finalists and Honorable Mention will be announced and published on the “Caribbean Photo Contest” website and social media.
*Limit One (1) Grand prize winner per contest. (Please Note: The results will render only one (1) Grand Prize winner and three (3) finalist/s and one Honorable Mention). Prize winners will be notified by email and announced on our website, e-newsletter, and social media.)

Teen
The competition helps young photographers grow and flourish into the next stages of their careers. Judges are looking for good composition, creativity and clear photographs. Judging will be based on a single image or a series of images depending on the submission entry.
A panel of Caribbean Photo Contest panel of Judges in photography (the “Judges”) will each review all eligible entries based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”): (1) Creativity 50%; (2) Photographic quality 50% and select a group of entries from contestants that become finalists. Finalist entries will be judged based on creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness in expressing the contest theme. The Grand Prize Winner, Finalists and Honorable Mention will be announced and published on the “Caribbean Photo Contest” website and social media.
*Limit One (1) First prize winner per contest. (Please Note: The results will render only one (1) Grand Prize winner and three (3) finalist/s and one Honorable Mention). Prize winners, finalists and Honorable Mentions will be notified by email and announced on our website, e-newsletter, and social media no later than 6 weeks after the end date of the contest.)

College Students
A panel of Caribbean Photo Contest panel of Judges in photography (the “Judges”) will each review all eligible entries based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”): (1) Creativity 50%; (2) Photographic quality 50% and select a group of entries from contestants that become finalists. Finalist entries will be judged based on creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness in expressing the contest theme. The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from the contestants that become Finalists. The other Finalists and Honorable Mention are identified through will be announced and published on the “Caribbean Photo Contest” website and social media.

Announcement/Notification to Grand Prize Winners
Announcement Periods may vary. Be sure to see contest rules for each entry competition contest.
Winners are requested to review the documents sent to them separately via E-mail from the organizer and, in the event they accept the terms and conditions, to fill out the required items, sign the form (or, if replying by E-mail accept the terms and conditions electronically as specified in the E-mail message) and deliver them to the organizer either by mail or through electronic means on or before the date stated in the documents. Winners may be contacted by telephone should the organizer deem it necessary to confirm any of the information provided.
Please note: Failure to respond within 14 days of the date on which the organizer sends the notification E-mail, whether due to server malfunction or any other cause, will result in disqualification. Entrants should therefore notify the organizer of any changes to their E-mail addresses using the entry page on this website. The organizer does not accept liability for any disadvantages that may arise as the result of inability to receive E-mail or Phone communications.

Multiple Contests Running Throughout the Year
The Caribbean Photo Contest consists of multiple contest categories, running at various times throughout the calendar year. Each category has its own eligibility criteria and prize structure to ensure fair competition among participants of similar experience levels.
The contest categories are as follows:
-Professional Contest – Open only to professional photographers.
-All-Entrants Contest – Open to photographers of all skill levels (excluding professionals).
-College-Students Contest – Open to students currently enrolled in a college or university.
-Teen Contest – Open to young photographers within the specified age range.
Each contest will have its own set of winners, determined through an independent judging process based on the official contest criteria.

Organizer’s Rights
- The organizer reserves the right to:

- Publish submitted works on contest-related websites and social media after the first round of judging (some entries may be cropped for display).
- Use winning images indefinitely for promotional, cultural, and educational purposes, including:

- Public exhibitions
- Photography events
- Print materials (posters, pamphlets, event promotions)
- Display winners’ names and image titles on contest-related platforms and at exhibitions.
- Edit winning entries (e.g., add graphics, sound effects, music) for promotional purposes.
- Winners waive the right to object to how their works are displayed for contest-related promotions.
- If a winning entry is to be used for purposes beyond contest promotion, additional permission will be sought from the creator.
- The organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries that fail to comply with contest guidelines. Entrants will not be notified if disqualified.
- If a winner is later found to be ineligible, their award may be revoked, and they may be asked to return any prizes received.

- Any legal disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of New Jersey State Law.
